The ValuePulse Index · updated 24 Aug 2026

What businesses your size are actually worth.

Two layers. The first is the published multiples we price every score against, with the source and the date next to each one. The second is the anonymized aggregate of every Ballpark Score run here — which is thin today, and we print the count so you can see exactly how thin.

01The published baseline

Owner-earnings multiples by MRR band, anchored on Flippa's 2x–4x for owner-operated software under $1M ARR and tilted with size toward FE International's 5x–7x for businesses valued under $2M. These are the numbers our engine starts from before it adjusts for your churn, growth, margin, history and concentration.

MRR bandBaseline owner-earnings multipleEquivalent revenue multiple at an 85% margin
$1,000–$5,000 MRR2.4x1.7x
$5,000–$10,000 MRR2.8x2.0x
$10,000–$25,000 MRR3.2x2.2x
$25,000–$50,000 MRR3.6x2.5x

What is missing, and we will say it

No source we could verify publishes closed-deal multiples broken down by MRR band at this size with the transaction count behind them. The finer breakdowns that circulate online trace back to one secondary aggregator whose own primary source we could not reach. So the table above is an interpolation between two primary figures, and we label it as one rather than dressing it up as a dataset.

02The ValuePulse aggregate · 14 runs to date

Self-reported metrics from businesses that have run a Ballpark Score here — not closed transactions. A band gets a published median at 12 runs, and not before. This layer is the one that compounds: the more founders price their business here, the sharper it gets for everyone.

MRR bandRunsMedian revenue multipleMedian churnMedian growth
$1,000–$5,000 MRR2Not enough runs to publish
$5,000–$10,000 MRR6Not enough runs to publish

Reference points we use rather than invent: 3.2% monthly revenue churn as the healthy average for a business around $10,500 MRR (Churnkey, cited by FE International, January 2026). Where a founder deletes their data, the anonymized figure already counted here stays and cannot be traced back to them.
